Helen & Simone | Virginia Tech Engagement Photographer Under the Cherry Blossoms!
Helen and I texted and emailed on and off all week while we anxiously watched the weather in anticipation of her and Simone’s engagement session. Things weren’t looking too good and I was totally bummed that we’d have to reschedule for another day and the last of the crazy weather would blow away all of the cherry blossoms! So even though my weather app was calling for thunderstorms and the clouds were looking a little ominous the afternoon of our scheduled session we went ahead and said “let’s do it!”…. and I’m so glad we did! It ended up being a perfect evening with Helen and Simone as they danced under the cherry blossoms… and the only rain we had to deal with were blossoms raining down all around us in the wind!
I’ve enjoyed getting to know Helen and Simone and can’t wait for their wedding this July where they’ll dance under the canopy of twinkle lights at the Virginia Tech Hahn Gardens! Helen’s family will be coming from Texas for their intimate family affair and Simone’s family will be coming all the way from Switzerland! I cannot tell you what an honor and privilege it is to be apart of weddings where families are coming together from all across the world! I love my job and more than that I love the people and the love stories I get to be a small part of!
