Where are you located? Do you travel?

I am located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, in the heart of the New River Valley. I've photographed weddings in places that even my GPS couldn’t find and I’ve photographed weddings in the heart of busy cities. My roots are in Southwest Virginia and my heart can’t get enough of these mountain views, but I can’t wait to explore and travel for a new adventure with you!

How do I book you?!

Well first off… THANK YOU! I would be honored to be apart of your big day! As a photographer, there are few honors or invitations as great as being invited into the sacred moments of Your Story. To officially book your wedding day a Retainer Fee and signed contract are required. It’s best to book 9-12 months in advance, especially for weekend wedding dates. Portrait sessions are best booked two weeks prior and payment will be due the day of our session!

How would you describe your style?

My style of photography is full of vivid and true to life color, all painted in warm and dreamy light. My style does not follow trendy editing styles and will look as beautiful today as it will in 20 years. I believe in timeless images that capture a sense of realism and also wonder.. My heart and passion for wedding photography is to capture your story as it unfolds. As a mother of small children I am keenly aware of how fast life is passing us by... so I am always looking to capture "your people" on your wedding day.

what can i expect to Investment?

Kristie Lea Photography couples typically invest between 4000 - 6000 on their Wedding Collections. All Collections include continuous coverage, your edited high res images with full print rights. A la carte options include - additional photographers, family heirloom albums, bridal session and our animated photobooth. Intimate elopement collections are also available for Sunday- Friday dates. Reach out and tell me more and we’ll build a collection that works just for you!

Do you have insurance?

Yes! Please let me know if your venue requires proof of insurance and we’ll make it happen.

Is photography your main business?

Yes... well... aside from chasing after my two children!

Will you personally be photographing my wedding?

Yes, I will be there with you every step of the way!  Associate Photographers are currently only available as Second Shooters at this time.

Do I need two photographers?

An additional photographer, often called a Second Shooter, is an assistant with an advanced level of skill and photography talent. Each wedding is unique and will require different needs to capture the day fully.  During our Discovery Call I will help assess your needs and if a Second Shooter is a good fit for your wedding day.

How many images will I receive?

Typically you’ll receive between 70-100 images per hour of coverage.

Do you offer a photobooth?

What do you do on a wedding day?

I will begin with documenting your heirloom details and then it’s time to get dressed! I’ll be there as you say “I do” and I’ll help to usher your family through your family formals. We’ll run off for portraits together and then I’ll capture your best friend trying to read their speech through tears. I’ll spend the night on the dance floor watching your crazy uncle's dance moves and then I’ll capture your grand exit off into your new married life!  I will work with you ahead of time to craft a well timed schedule, so your day runs as smooth and stress free as possible.

What do I do with my images?

Your images will arrive to you in a personalized wedding gallery in cloud storage. Your images are yours to download and share, and I hope you’ll print them to your hearts content! Professional quality prints can be ordered through your online gallery and we can work together to design and order an Heirloom Wedding Album for future generations to hold in their hands!
