Well the day has finally arrived! After weeks and months of collaboration with an amazing team of women my new website and branding is here! I am SO EXCITED for this next phase of Kristie Lea Photography!!! (and I’m launching on my mama’s birthday… it must be luck!)
So let’s back track a moment and let me share how I got here in the first place. Well as a working mama I found myself completely overwhelmed with the prospect of creating and building a new website. I was in a vicious cycle (let’s be real… I still am!) of sitting down to work after the kids had gone to bed and working until 2 or 2:30 AM in the morning each night. My old website was starting to feel old and frumpy as was I, and I had no time to even touch it! I was afraid brides might love my portfolio but would be turned away because they had no way of knowing who I was as a person or a photographer. I knew that my old website and brand didn’t convey any sense of who I am so I knew someone needed to breath new life into the KLP brand and it wasn’t going to be coming from this TIRED mama! So the amazingly talented women of With Grace and Gold took me on and began working on my crazy requests and indecisiveness and nervousness and created something I feel so very proud of. For once I feel my collective voice online speaks to who I am and what Kristie Lea Photography is all about.
Let me again say THANK YOU to Andra and Kelly. You are truly lovely women who have built a business that serves and loves well. Thank you for asking the tough questions and filtering through my scattered brain to build something that is purposeful, professional and one-of-a-kind.
When I think about where my photography business has taken me and the people it has brought into my life I am amazed. I honestly never thought I could pursue my dreams of being a photographer and anything ever become of it, much less it become a career. So I guess back to my original question “Where do I go from here?” I only felt it best to convey the answer through the image of my daughter below (I mean I am a photographer after all). So here is my sweet girl… 16 stories up in an observation deck just this past weekend. She’s reaching out, not really sure if there is something there to catch her… but she’s still fearless… she knows it’s worth the view so she’ll do whatever it takes!
Thank you for joining me in this journey! I hope you’ll stick around for what’s to come!
